Sit at one of the picnic tables or spread a blanket under the trees


  • Snap a picture of some of the local wildlife
  • Check out the outdoor interpretive panels at your leisure to learn more about the town’s past


  • Take a walk down Cheapside Street and use your imagination to visualize the town as it once was
  • Fly a kite or kick around a soccer ball with family and friends in the village square
  • Go on a guided walking tour of the village
  • Visit the one room school
  • Take a scenic drive to Chapel Point State Park or experience one of the most scenic spots in Charles County at St. Ignatius Catholic Church


  • Head over to Thomas Stone National Historic Site to learn about one of Maryland’s signers of the Declaration of Independence
